Managing gestational diabetes

Project Summary

Problem:

My wife was diagnosed with gestational diabetes in her third trimester of pregnancy. She was immediately required to monitor her blood glucose daily, which proved to be stressful and challenging.

Solution:

Help organize and visualize her blood glucose results so that she can more easily measure progress and feel more motivated to sustain her new lifestyle changes.

Set up a Google Sheet with simple schema and data validation rules to help maintain a clean dataset and simple user experience.
Easy to understand at a glance

By utilizing colors in an informative way, my wife could easily determine if her numbers were high, low or within range (green bar).
Filtering

Included the ability to filter by meal type and if exercise occurred after the meal.
View by day or week

The dashboard defaults to a weekly view to help see overall trends, but there is a toggle added to allow for a daily view to allow the user to view all data points.
